1861 Restaurant A foodie gem just outside Abergavveny in the picture postcard hamlet of Cross Ash, the 1861 Restaurant has caused quite a stir among Wales' gastronomic elite. Boasting two well deserved AA Rosettes, 1861 is the brainchild of chef Simon King and his wife, and front of house lead, Kate.
